We work both with indigenous and more commonly used natural botanicals to create products that restore skin health and a feeling of wellbeing.
SOAPS
Sodium lauryl ether sulfate free
Our soap is an invigorating blend of goat's milk, saponified coconut oil, clay, vegetable glycerin and raw honey. It is gentle on the skin, moisturizing and healing. Our beautiful range includes a wide selection from vanilla bean to sacred frankincense, all of which rejuvenate and protect your skin and are guaranteed not to harm you or the environment! Our soap is safe to use on babies and sensitive skin.

Crafted Cosmetics makes use of a selection of indigenous and exotic botanicals to create natural, healthy alternatives to mass produced over-the-counter cosmetic products. Our hands-on artisanal approach means that we focus on the particulars and ensure quality natural products without suspect preservatives and SLES. We use quality fragrances and aromatherapy grade essential oils to make luxurious body butters in a range of scents. Our balms and moisturisers contain the healing properties of African ginger, African potato, turmeric, moringa and frankincense among others. Our room sprays are guaranteed to kill unpleasant odours without harm to you or the environment and are safe to use directly on your skin.
SOME INGREDIENTS
Turmeric is one of our core ingredients. Our turmeric and cinnamon night crème improves complexion and softens skin. The Turmeric Triple Nourisher works well as a nourishing night crème as well but has a built in UV barrier during the day. It contains chamomile essential oil which is gentle on the skin and enhances the anti-inflammatory effect of curcumin, the active ingredient in turmeric. Turmeric is not only an anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory, it improves and brightens skin tone, prevents and cures acne and rashes, is good for burns, cuts and wounds. It is gentle on ageing skin and assists with lightening blemishes and scarring. We put turmeric in our soaps too of course! Our Turmeric & Neroli soap bars are a lovely blend of citrus aroma and spicy turmeric – a perfect soap to relax and heal body and mind.
African ginger (Siphonochilus aethiopicus) is one of the African wonder herbs in our library of botanicals. It also contains curcumin and is a detoxifier with anti-inflammatory properties. Our African ginger soap is a natural anti-bacterial that exfoliates, reduces pigmentation and refreshes. The powdered herb is blended with raw honey, one of nature’s wonders and added to the cooling soap. It acts as a natural preservative, antioxidant and feeds and moisturisers the skin. This soap is a great one for intimate hygiene as it protects against candida and other fungal infections. Our African ginger and Himalayan salt scrubs treat nail fungi and improve the general health of your feet and limbs. The African ginger healing crème supplements this cleaning regime beautifully, further feeding and protecting the skin.
In our lipbalms we make use of unrefined beeswax sourced from local beekeepers. This is combined with coconut oil, shea butter, citrus, benzoin & carrot essential oil. The overall result is a balm that feeds and protects the lips and prevents sun damage. Our butters are a wonderful winter moisturiser – enhanced with eucalyptus and peppermint essential oils, this softer lip treatment is rapidly absorbed and keeps out winter dryness.
We use natural Frankincense resin from Oman in the making of the base oil in both our Frankincense soaps, body butters and solid perfumes. Frankincense is all about inducing a wonderful feeling of wellbeing and enriching and feeding skin that is damaged by pollution and stress. Frankincense helps to heal, lighten scarring and wrinkles and one of its primary functions is to help the body to absorb nutrients.
